Service Description:
|
Support, orientation and temporary accommodation for Government Assisted Refugees during their initial days in Canada
Services include:- financial orientation, opening bank accounts
- introduction to rights and responsibilities
- assistance securing permanent accommodation
- applying for utilities
- obtaining official documents such as Social Insurance Number
- connecting with provincial and federal programs
Client Support Services: Services for individuals following their work with Resettlement Assistance Program * case management during first year in Canada
Services include:- home visits
- coordination of medical and other appointments
- connection to language training
- continued assistance with government applications and documents

Government Assisted Refugees within 4-6 weeks of arrival to Hamilton * Client Support Services within a year of arrival
