Adjudicative tribunal under auspices of Social Justice Tribunals Ontario- informs landlords and tenants about their rights and responsibilities under the Residential Tenancies Act
- resolves disputes between residential landlords and tenants through mediation or adjudication
- handles eviction applications filed by non-profit housing cooperatives
Rent increase guideline for 2024 and 2025 is 2.5% and applies only to residential units first occupied by or before November 15, 2018; visit Ontario provincial website for rent increase guideline, rules and exceptions
